On Wednesday, 17th October, 2018, the delegates of Cambodia Securities Exchange (CSX) led by Mr. Jong Weon HA, Chief Operating Officer of CSX, visited the Association of Investment Management Companies (AIMC), and with the support of the AIMC, arranged a seminar for a number of their members under the topic of “Investing in the Future of Cambodia” at the AIMC office, located in Bangkok, Thailand.

The seminar is a new initiative by the CSX with the purposes to engage with overseas institutional investors, especially those in Asia including Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore Republic of Korea etc., and to discuss with them the opportunities to invest in Cambodia’s nascent securities market. Thailand was the first stop, where the delegates, joint by the representatives of two of CSX’s member firms – SBI Royal Securities and Yuanta Securities (Cambodia), met with the AIMC, one of the trade associations that represent investment management industry in Thailand, and its members include asset management companies in three business groups comprising mutual fund, private fund and provident fund business.
